Renal Biopsies

A renal biopsy is obtained by CT-guided core biopsy which is performed in the Department of Radiology. Once biopsies are deemed adequate, they are sent fresh to the Department of Pathology to be processed. The tissue will be divided for light microscopy, immunofluorescent studies, and electron microscopy. All tissue will be sent to Cedars-Sinai for processing and pathologic analysis to the attention of:
