Genitourinary Pathology

Our Genitourinary Pathology Service provides diagnostic expertise in diseases of the urinary tract and male reproductive organs. We evaluate biopsies and resections involving the prostate, kidney, urinary bladder and male reproductive system, and cover a wide spectrum of disorders, from non-neoplastic and inflammatory to oncologic processes. We provide specialized diagnostic work-up for our clients, including initial histologic evaluation with appropriate and targeted ancillary testing; including an array of immunologic and molecular tests. Our integrated reports are through, yet clear and concise, for optimal clinical decision making. All new malignancies and challenging cases are reviewed in consensus to ensure the highest diagnostic quality for our patients.

The director of our Genitourinary Pathology Service is Dr. Emily Waterhouse, who has a special interest in genitourinary pathology, and completed a Surgical Pathology Fellowship and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at University of California, San Francisco.

Our pathologists deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely reports, and are always available to discuss results.
