Dr. Monica R. Phillips has served as Laboratory Medical Director for Cottage Health since 2022, overseeing laboratory services across Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, and Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital.
Dr. David Martin-Reay
Since 2011, Dr. Martin-Reay has practiced General Pathology and subspecialized in Dermatopathology at Cottage Health in Santa Barbara where he has served as Chairman of the Department of Pathology.
Dr. Emily Waterhouse
Dr. Waterhouse serves as Vice President of Mission Pathology and Vice Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. She specializes in gastrointestinal pathology and genitourinary pathology, providing data-driven, high-quality care with a focus on integrated medicine.
Dr. Elizabeth Moschiano
Dr. Moschiano is the medical director of our blood bank. She joins Dr. DeNicola on the sub-specialty hematopathology and flow cytometry services as well as covering general surgical pathology.
Dr. Kaitlyn Nielson
Dr. Nielson directs our breast pathology service. She has a passion for developing strong clinical relationships, with the knowledge that these relationships help to provide the highest quality care.

Dr. Ahsan is an experienced pathologist with expertise spanning more than two decades in clinical practice and academic settings.
Dr. Aegean Chan
Dr. Chan is a fellowship-trained and board-certified dermatopathologist with a background in clinical dermatology, who strives to provide high quality, precise dermatopathology services.
